Leonardo, at last..!

So after 6 nominations as Best Actor in a Leading Role, Leonardo DiCaprio has finally reached the Oscar for the movie The Revenant.
Yay!

His acceptance speech was also very deep and heart-felt and surely testifies his strong environmental commitment and great attention to climate change. I personally really appreciate this aspect as I believe that such people have a great influence and can therefore use their money and power to try and help in any possible way.

Of course this year’s ceremony was all about this long-awaited award for our man, but as you all know, the second most important thing at the Oscars is the Red Carpet and the Dresses! I wrote a similar post last year for the 2015 ceremony (READ IT HERE!) and here we are once again to do some gossiping and choose this year’s Best Dressed actress.

Here are some of the stars and their outfits during the Red Carpet:

Kate Winslet
I totally love her, she’s one of my favourite actresses and also one of my big woman crush! I also had the amazing chance to see her in person during 2011 Venice Film Festival and she’s sooo beautiful! But the shiny Ralph Lauren garbage bag gown she was wearing at the Oscars was not flattering at all:

But she went to the Ceremony to support her dear friend Leonardo, so I believe we can forgive her, can’t we? They were certainly the most photographed couple on the Red Carpet.

Charlize Theron
Another extremely beautiful and talented woman, our Charlize showed up at the awards with a fantastic red Dior dress with a huge cleavage and statement jewels: fabulous!
Not so enthusiastic about the hair, but anything else was stunning, see for yourself:

Olivia Wilde
I still can’t decide whether I like this Valentino Haute Couture dress or not…Olivia Wilde shows a lot of skin indeed with this dress and does it beautifully but perhaps I would’ve appreciated something less revealing. 😉

Cate Blanchett
Here’s the wonderful Cate Blanchett in her outfit. I’m not that sure about the flowers on the dress, which maybe are a little too much. But anything else is gorgeous (it’s Armani, after all) and Cate’s innate elegance is undeniable.

Naomi Watts
Another Armani dress, this time it’s Armani Privé and it’s for Naomi Watts. Absolutely beautiful…and look at that Bulgari collar necklace! :O

Isla Fisher
A lovely pale and flowery dress for Isla Fisher, who chose to wear Marchesa at the Academy Awards ceremony. Very simple but effective and angelic.

Heidi Klum
This is a big NO for me… no no no! This dress was terrible.
I mean, perhaps without the big flowers and that long sleeve, it would’ve made some sense. But unfortunately it had all those things. 🙂

These are just some of the celebrities’ outfits I could (and couldn’t!) appreciate at the 2016 Academy Awards red carpet.

Is there some other dress you really loved or hated from that ceremony?
