Finally our first post! Woo hoo!
I want to talk about Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadows Palettes that have been a big hit!
All the three palettes by Urban Decay include twelve eyeshadows. Their price is around 48,00 €, £ 37.00, $ 52.00. Here’s what I think of them all.
12 bronze-hued neutral eyeshadows, a Karma Shadow Brush, one (way too small!) primer potion.
Virgin (nude satin), Sin (champagne shimmer), Naked (buff matte), Sidecar (beige sparkle), Buck (brown matte), Half Baked (bronze), Smog (golden brown shimmer), Darkhorse (bronze-plum shimmer), Toasted (taupe-bronze), Hustle (mocha shimmer), Creep (near-black metallic), Gunmetal (dark grey metallic).
12 taupe-hued neutral eyeshadows, one dual-ended eye brush, one little lipgloss (so little that I recently lost it somewhere…).
A few of those eyeshadows are very very similar to those in the Naked 1:
Booty Call is just a peachier version of Virgin (Naked 1);
Half Baked is a dupe;
Chopper is more orange than Sidecar (Naked 1);
Suspect is just a little more beige than Sidecar (Naked 1);
Busted is very similar to Hustle (Naked 1);
Foxy, Tease, Snakebite, Pistol, Verve, YDK and Blackout doesn’t have any comparable shades in Naked 1.
12 never-before-seen rose-hued neutrals, plus a double-ended brush and an Eyeshadow Primer Potion sample.
Strange (pale neutral pink matte-satin), Dust (pale metallic pink shimmer w/iridescent micro-glitter), Burnout (light pinky-peach satin), Limit (light dusty rose matte), Buzz (metallic rose shimmer w/silver microglitter), Trick (light metallic pinky-copper shimmer w/tonal microsparkle), Nooner (medium pinky-brown matte), Liar (medium metallic mauve shimmer), Factory (pinky-brown satin), Mugshot (metallic taupe shimmer w/slight pink shift), Darkside (deep taupe-mauve satin), Blackheart (smoky black matte w/rosy red microsparkle)
Overall, these three palettes are lovely. The eyeshadows are highly pigmented, soft, blendable, and easy to use. They wore well all day long without fading or creasing (this changes according to the person though).
A few colours, especially the matte ones, such as Naked and Buck (in the Naked 1), Foxy, Bootycall and Tease (Naked 2) and Strange, Limit and Nooner (Naked 3) are perfect for everyday make up.
Glitter colours (such as Snakebite, Sidecar, Buzz, or Trick) tend to fall out during wear, but it’s not too annoying .
The Brunette made me try Naked 1, while I got Naked 2 as a present. But I have to admit that since I bought Naked 3 myself, I am using this one every day. My favourite shades are Darkside, as it is somehow unusual, and Liar. The only disappointing thing was that the Primer Potion sample lasted only one week or so and nothing else came with the palette. Plus, I lost my Naked 2 lipgloss and I was very gutted that I could not replace it!! That’s my fault though… 😀
